2004 News Releases "FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE" MOSAID Announces Change in General Counsel OTTAWA, Ontario, Canada – April 21, 2004 – MOSAID Technologies Incorporated (TSX: MSD) today announced that William Middleton, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, has resigned effective April 23, 2004, to join Nygard International Group as Vice President, Legal Services and General Counsel; and that James Skippen is returning to MOSAID as Senior Vice President, Patent Licensing and General Counsel. "We are grateful to Bill for his significant contributions over the past three and a half years," said George Cwynar, President and Chief Executive Officer of MOSAID. "We are sorry to lose him, but certainly wish him every success in his new position." "At the same time, we are pleased to welcome Jim back to MOSAID," continued Cwynar. "Jim had served as MOSAID's General Counsel for seven years before leaving for private practice in 2003.
