MOSAID Announces Board Changes and Executive Promotion

OTTAWA, Ontario, Canada – November 20, 2003 – MOSAID Technologies Incorporated (TSX:MSD) today announced that Dr. Betty Prince will be resigning from MOSAID’s Board of Directors effective December 1, 2003, in order to devote more time to her many other business pursuits. Mr. Donnie Moore has been elected as a new member of MOSAID’s Board, effective December 1, 2003. Also announced today is the promotion of MOSAID’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Board member, Richard D. Boadway, to Executive Vice President, Corporate and CFO.

"Betty has been an exemplary member of our Board and has made many valuable contributions to our Company over the last five years. We will miss her professional acumen and strategic counsel, and wish her all the best in future endeavours."

"Donnie Moore’s financial expertise and substantial experience with software product licensing and services offerings makes him a powerful complement to MOSAID’s current members of the Board," said Csathy. "We are pleased that he has joined the Board and look forward to receiving his sage counsel."

Mr. Moore’s career spans more than 25 years of financial and administrative experience in the computer industry, including over a dozen years at Cognos Incorporated as Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer. Donnie retired from Cognos in 2001 and currently serves on the Board of COAST Software Inc., as well as Algorithmics Incorporated. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA in finance from the University of Houston.

"In recognition of Richard Boadway’s increased responsibilities at MOSAID, he has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Corporate and CFO," said George Cwynar, MOSAID President and CEO. "Richard has been Chief Financial Officer for MOSAID since 1997, and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2002."
