2003 News Releases "FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE" MOSAID Announces Resignation of General Counsel OTTAWA, Ontario, Canada – September 29, 2003 – MOSAID Technologies Incorporated (TSX:MSD) today announced that James Skippen, Senior Vice President, Patent Licensing and General Counsel, will be resigning from his position with MOSAID effective September 30, 2003. Mr. Skippen will be joining McCarthy Tétrault, to lead its technology law practice in Ottawa. "Jim has been a valued advisor and contributor to MOSAID’s success, particularly in the intellectual property business, in the negotiation of licenses and in the assertion of our intellectual property rights in the courts." said George Cwynar, MOSAID’s President and Chief Executive Officer. "I’m pleased to report that, from his new position at McCarthy Tétrault, Jim will maintain his role in patent licensing negotiations and will continue to provide assistance in the ongoing litigations with Samsung and Infineon, where we are being represented by Jones Day." Effective October 1, 2003, William Middleton, MOSAID’s Senior Corporate Counsel, will assume the positions of General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. About MOSAID
