John is the President and Chief Executive Officer, and a Director, of MOSAID Technologies, one of Canada's leading intellectual property development companies. He joined MOSAID in November 2006 as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary and assumed his current position in April 2007. Prior to joining MOSAID, John spent 20 years with Texas Instruments (TI), one of the world's most renowned semiconductor companies.

In his last position at TI, John was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, responsible for company-wide legal issues related to the Asia Pacific and Japan regions, as well as global trade compliance legal issues. He also held primary responsibility for TI's ADSL patent licensing program, heading a team of 28 lawyers that provided legal counsel to TI's Application Specific Products group, which included the company's global Digital Signal Processor business. Prior to that, John served for two years as Senior Regional Counsel for TI's Japanese subsidiary, based in Tokyo. Earlier in his career, he served as Legal Counsel focused on patent licensing, litigation, and prosecution. John began his career at TI as a failure analysis engineer working on Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs).

John holds a Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and was editor-in-chief of the SMU Law Review; a M.Sc. Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University School of Engineering and Applied Science; and a B.Sc. Electrical Engineering from Duke University School of Engineering. He is the former chair of the Intellectual Property subcommittee of the Semiconductor Industry Association and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Executive Committee for the Center for American and International Law.

Since joining the Company in 1988, Joe has held increasingly senior roles in MOSAID's finance group from Director, Financial Services and Corporate Controller, to Vice President Finance in September, 2006. Joe was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Company in April, 2007.

Prior to joining MOSAID, Joe was with Price Waterhouse chartered accountants. Joe is a Certified General Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University.

Phillip joined MOSAID as Corporate Counsel in 2004 from McCarthy Tétrault, where he articled and became an associate upon admission to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in February, 2002. In January 2007, Phillip was appointed to the position of Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary. He was appointed Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in May, 2007. Phillip is responsible for the Company's legal strategy, as well as disclosure and corporate governance obligations.

Phillip obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Windsor in 2000, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Université Laval.

Peter B. Gillingham

Peter joined MOSAID in 1989 as a Project Manager for state-of-the-art DRAM designs, and was appointed to Vice President, Business Development, of the Semiconductor Division in June 1998. In this position he led MOSAID's successful patent licensing program. He was named Vice President and General Manager of the Intellectual Property Division in April 2001 and continued in that role until being named Vice President and Chief Technology Officer in August 2006. A prolific inventor with over 60 issued US patents, Peter is the first CTO in MOSAID's history. As CTO, he advises on technology trends, provides leadership on technology development strategies, and conducts technology assessments of partnerships and potential acquisitions.

Peter was a Senior IC Design Engineer at Mitel Corporation prior to joining MOSAID. He holds a B.Eng in Electrical Engineering and an M.Eng in Electronics from Carleton University, as well as an M.Sc in Management from Stanford University. Peter also serves as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Journal of Solid State Circuits.

As Vice President, Licensing and Intellectual Property, Michael is responsible for MOSAID's patent licensing, patent prosecution and patent acquisition activities. Michael's appointment to his current position in May 2007 reflects his significant contributions to the Company's patent licensing success and its new focus on intellectual property licensing.

Michael joined MOSAID in 1996 as Manager, Intellectual Property from Semiconductor Insights, where he gained experience in design analysis. He was named Director of Intellectual Property in 2000 and promoted to Vice President, Patents in 2006. Over the years, Michael also played a key role in building MOSAID's experienced, world-class licensing team. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and an Executive MBA from Queen's University.

Jin-Ki Kim
Vice President, Research and Development

Jin-Ki Kim was named MOSAID's Vice President, Research and Development in May 2007. He is responsible for creating intellectual property and patented inventions related to advanced semiconductor memory technologies, the strategic implementation of those technologies, and enabling business relationships.

Jin-Ki joined MOSAID in 1997 as a Manager in the Company's memory group, and most recently was Director, Technology Research and Development. Prior to MOSAID, he spent 12 years with Samsung Electronics in the non-volatile memory division, where he led teams that developed many generations of NAND and NOR Flash memory products.

A respected expert in memory technology, Jin-Ki holds 23 issued patents for his work in NAND Flash memory, and 30 applications related to MOSAID's breakthrough HyperLink NAND (HLNAND™) architecture, introduced in May 2007. He is a principal author and co-author of 12 papers presented to various memory societies, including the IEEE. Jin-Ki has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Yonsei, Seoul, Korea.

Mr. Schlachte joined the MOSAID Board of Directors in September 2006 and was appointed Chairman of the Board in April 2007.

Mr. Schlachte is the president and CEO of ARC International, the leading provider of configurable processor technology to semiconductor companies worldwide. He has more than twenty years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including CEO roles at global fabless semiconductor and IP companies and executive positions at Motorola and ARM Holdings plc. At ARM he established its North American operations and secured strategic relationships with some of the largest chip and system companies in the United States.

Mr. Schlachte resides in the East Bay of Northern California with his wife and children, and is active in his local community and philanthropic causes.

Normand Paquette

Normand Paquette is a well known and respected executive with over 20 years of experience in senior financial management roles. He was a founding member of Tundra Semiconductor Corp., joining the company at its inception in 1995 and serving as Chief Financial Officer from 1999 until August 2006. During his tenure, Mr. Paquette provided strong financial leadership, including completing Tundra's Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 1999, closing follow-on financings. He also played an important role in completing a number of strategic acquisitions for the company. Prior to joining Tundra, Mr. Paquette worked for a large public accounting firm. Mr. Paquette is a Chartered Accountant and holds Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Ottawa.

Widely recognized as an expert in corporate governance, Barry J. Reiter is a Partner, Corporate, with Bennett Jones LLP, an internationally recognized Canadian law firm, and chair of the firm's new economy practice. Mr. Reiter's practice focuses on corporate finance, development and governance, particularly of new economy companies. Mr. Reiter's current board roles include Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc., Motion Picture Distribution Inc., the SkyPower Group of Companies, and an Advisory Board role at RBC Technology Ventures Inc. Formerly a law professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto, Mr. Reiter publishes widely on corporate governance, advisory boards and other legal issues. A graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, Mr. Reiter also holds a BCL from Wadham College, Oxford University.

Eugene I. Davis is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pirinate Consulting Group, LLC, a private consulting firm specializing in turn-around management, merger and acquisition consulting, takeovers, proxy contests and strategic planning advisory services.

Prior to forming Pirinate, Mr. Davis was President, Vice-Chairman and Director of Emerson Radio Corp, and CEO and Vice-Chairman of Sport Supply Group, Inc. Mr. Davis began his career as an attorney and international negotiator with Exxon Corp. and Standard Oil Company, and was a partner in two Texas-based law firms where he specialized in corporate/securities law, international transactions and restructuring advisory.

Mr. Davis holds a BA from Columbia College, a Masters of International Affairs in International Law and Organization from the School of International Affairs of Columbia University, and a Juris Doctor from the Columbia University School of Law.

Gideon J. King is currently Executive Vice President of Loeb Partners Corporation, an international investment firm headquartered in New York City. Mr. King joined Loeb Partners in 1993. He is President of Loeb Arbitrage Management, Inc., which is the general partner of Loeb Arbitrage Fund and Loeb Marathon Fund LP; and President of Loeb Offshore Management, LLC, which manages the Loeb Offshore Fund, Ltd. and the Loeb Marathon Offshore Fund, Ltd. Mr. King is a graduate of Northwestern University.

Robert Kramer is the Managing Partner and founder of Altitude Capital Partners of New York, a private investment firm whose focus is providing capital to companies involved in all areas of Intellectual Property (IP).

Prior to founding Altitude Capital Partners, Mr. Kramer was a Managing Director at Fortress Investment Group, where he was responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing investments in numerous asset classes. Before that, Mr. Kramer was an investment banking Managing Director with Merrill Lynch & Co., where he developed expertise in litigation assets and claims. He holds an MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business, and an honors degree from the Wharton Undergraduate School of Business.

Dr. John B. Millard

Dr. Millard is the former President and CEO of Mitel Corporation. He was appointed to the MOSAID Board of Directors in September 1998. Previous to his work at Mitel, Dr. Millard served as Senior Vice President of NEC America in charge of North American operations for the customer premises equipment (CPE) division. At Contel Executone and at Rockwell Wescom, Dr. Millard held a variety of expanding management roles concentrating on revitalizing stalled divisions. Dr. Millard began his career at Bell Telephone Laboratories in 1960 and spent fifteen years in that organization in a variety of supervisory roles.

Dr. Millard is Chairman of the Board of IatroQuest Corporation. He is also the former Chairman of SiGe Semiconductor, has served as co-chair of the Regional Innovation Forum and has been an advisor to several federal and provincial governmental agencies. He is president of Millard Enterprises Inc.
