MOSAID Technologies Inc. has an immediate requirement for a senior technical professional to fill the role of Senior Patent Licensing Engineer.

Job Purpose and Mandate:

The Senior Patent Licensing Engineer is responsible for providing technical lead and support for Semiconductor Licensing programs, particularly in the technology areas of circuitry and/or system for NAND-type Flash memory and DRAM.

The Senior Patent Licensing Engineer will also assist the patent prosecution and patent acquisition teams in various technical support such as analysis of patentability and use in industry.

Duties:

• Initiating and performing patent infringement analysis on target memory products/technologies and patent validity analysis.
• Participating actively in acquisition of licensable memory patent portfolios particularly targeted on NAND Flash device and/or system.
• Assuming a lead role in documentation of claim charts and rebuttal materials for patent licensing programs.
• Assisting Senior Director of Semiconductor Licensing with outsourcing analysis of infringement and/or validity of a patent in order to ensure quality of work.
• Keeping abreast of the latest technologies in semiconductor memory circuitry and system.
• Assisting with prosecution of patents internally.

Job Requirements:

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in circuit design and/or circuit analysis of NAND Flash memory and DRAM
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide a logical conclusion
• Self-motivated and the ability to work under minimal supervision
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent time management skills to be able to complete multiple projects under time constraints
• Ability to travel when required

Job Assets:

• Experience with patent claims analysis and prior art search
• Good understanding of memory interface and storage system
• Good understanding of future memory technologies such as PCRAM and 3D-NVM
• Good understanding of process integration of memory devices.
• Experience with patent prosecution
